Where this works

Nucube installs from a package built for x86_64 machines that use pacman. That means Arch Linux and Arch-based distributions such as Omarchy, Manjaro, and EndeavourOS. If you use another distribution, the Download page has a package for you.

Step 1 — Trust the signing key

Run this once per machine. It downloads our public key and marks it as trusted locally:

curl -fsSL https://www.nucube.music/nucube.pgp -o /tmp/nucube.pgp
sudo pacman-key --add /tmp/nucube.pgp
sudo pacman-key --lsign-key D2E78A6F3B9A12960A47C8357BE3B24553706B70

The commands trust our primary key by its full fingerprint. Why we sign every release, and how to check a signature by hand, is on the Security page.

Step 2 — Install

sudo pacman -U https://github.com/ildella/nucube-binaries/releases/download/v0.13.2/nucube-bin-0.13.2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

This fetches the package straight from our GitHub releases. pacman checks its signature against the key you just trusted, and refuses to install a package that is unsigned or has been tampered with.

Keeping it up to date

There is no repository entry yet, so updates are manual: run the install command above again with the new version. The Download page always shows the current release.

Uninstall

sudo pacman -R nucube-bin
